Alors que le dynamisme des investissements dans le vignoble bordelais se réduit souvent à la lorgnette chinoise, le cabinet Rustmann s'amuse d'avoir vendu en décembre « trois châteaux à Saint-Emilion, qui ont tous été achetés par des régionaux ». Ces trois transactions concernent le château Grand d'Essieu (4 hectares en Saint-Emilion Grand Cru), acheté par une pharmacienne bordelaise, le château Mondorion (13 hectares en Saint-Emilion Grand Cru) vendu par la famille Léon à la famille Cruse* et le château Haut Villet (8,5 hectares en Saint-Émilion) repris par la famille Garcin.

Domaine Drouhin recently announced the acquisition of the Roserock Vineyard in Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Planted to 111 acres of Pinot Noir and 11 acres of Chardonnay, the 279-acre property has historically provided grapes to some of Oregon's finest Pinot Noir producers.

The Terlato Wine Group has sold the vineyards and winery facility that housed Alderbrook Winery, but kept the winery’s brands and inventory. The sale will enable Illinois-based Terlato to buy a larger winery and to shift its vineyard holdings to pinot noir and chardonnay, said Terlato CEO Bill Terlato.
